Mould types, working conditions vary greatly, the damage parts are different, but the form of failure is summarized in roughly three kinds, namely, wear and tear, fracture, plastic deformation.
(1) wear failure
Mold in service, contact with the forming blank, resulting in relative motion. Because of the relative motion of the surface, the contact surface gradually lose material phenomenon called wear. Wear loss can be divided into the following categories:
(1) fatigue wear: two contact surfaces in relative motion, in the cycle of stress (mechanical stress and thermal stress) under the action of the surface metal fatigue off the phenomenon known as fatigue wear.
(2) cavitation wear and erosion wear: cavitation wear metal surface bubbles rupture, resulting in instantaneous impact and high temperature, so that the mold surface to form tiny pockmarks and pits phenomenon called cavitation wear. Erosion wear liquid and solid particles repeated high-speed impact on the mold surface, so that the mold surface local material loss, the formation of pockmarks and pits phenomenon called erosive wear.
(3) abrasive wear: in the friction process, the mold surface and the surrounding media chemical or electrochemical reactions, coupled with the mechanical effect of friction, causing the phenomenon of surface material loss called abrasive wear.
(4) the interaction of wear and tear friction and wear is very complex, under certain conditions mold and workpiece (or billet) relative motion, wear and tear is generally not just in one form, often in a variety of forms coexist, and affect each other.
(2) fracture failure
Mold cracks or separated into two parts and several parts of the loss of service capacity, become fracture failure. Fracture can be divided into plastic fracture and brittle fracture. Mold materials are mostly medium and high strength steel, the form of fracture is mostly brittle fracture. Brittle fracture can be divided into one-time fracture and fatigue fracture.
(3) plastic deformation failure
Plastic mold in service withstand a lot of stress, and uneven. When a part of the mold stress exceeds the yield limit of the mold material at that time under the temperature, it will be lattice slip, twinning, grain boundary slip and other ways to produce plastic deformation, change the geometry or size, and can not be repaired and then in service, called plastic deformation failure. The failure of plastic deformation is manifested in the form of upsetting, bending, cavity expansion, collapse and so on.
Mold plastic deformation is mold metal material yielding process. Whether to produce plastic deformation, the dominant role is the mechanical load and the room temperature strength of the mold. Service in the mold at high temperatures, whether plastic deformation, mainly depends on the working temperature of the mold and mold material strength at high temperatures.

Mold is the basic process equipment for mechanical industrial production, is the production of industrial products in the indispensable tools, mold steel made of the performance of the mold needs to be monitored through a strict production process, the production of raw materials for the mold must also undergo a rigorous check to prevent the mold due to material problems
(1) Purpose: so that the equipment can maintain the best performance status and extend the service life, to ensure the normal production. (2) Scope of application: applicable to the repair and maintenance of molds.
Injection and guide sleeve units
There are two types of mold guiding methods and accessories for guide injection and guide sleeve unit types: (A). External guide type (mold base type or called the main guide), (B). Inner guide type (or auxiliary guide). In order to meet the requirements of precision molds, there is a high demand for the use of both the outer guide and inner guide types.
